Components of three phase asynchronous motor
Stator:
The stationary part of the motor, which produces the rotating magnetic field. It consists of a core made of laminated steel and windings that carry the three phase current.
Rotor:
The rotating part of the motor, which is placed inside the stator. The rotor can be of two types: Squirrel cage or wound (slip ring).
Windings and Magnetic Field:
