Application And Model Of Single-phase Motor

Due to the fact that single-phase asynchronous motors only require single-phase power supply, they are widely used in small equipment such as production and daily life. However, due to its poor economic performance indicators, it is only designed for low power.
There are several models of low horsepower single-phase asynchronous motors produced in China.
1. BO2 series single-phase resistance starting asynchronous motor. The power is between 60 and 370W. The characteristic is that no split phase components are added, and the secondary winding is started using its own resistance, and a centrifugal switch is used to cut off the secondary winding at the end of the start. The structure is relatively simple. It has moderate starting torque and overload capacity, making it suitable for small machine tools, blowers, and medical machinery.
CO2 series single-phase capacitor starting asynchronous motor. The power is between 120 and 750W. It is a single-phase motor that uses an external capacitor to increase the starting torque and start. Connect an external capacitor in series with the secondary winding, and use a centrifugal switch to cut off both the secondary winding and the capacitor from the power supply at the end of startup. Like the BO2 type, it becomes a state where only the main winding operates and the secondary winding is idle. Capacitive starter motors have high starting torque, but moderate overload capacity. Suitable for air compressors, refrigerators, washing machines, mills, threshers, and water pumps.
3. DO2 single-phase capacitor motor. It is a single-phase motor that uses a capacitor to participate in starting and running, with the secondary winding running together with the capacitor and main winding. Therefore, there is no need for a centrifugal switch. Through appropriate design, the motor forms an ideal rotating magnetic field during operation, resulting in good performance, high efficiency and power factor, and low noise. Its power range is 4-250W. Due to the use of a capacitor to balance starting and operation, the trade-off between braking and braking is limited. As the starting time is very short, it is necessary to choose a capacitor value that can meet the needs of long-term operation as much as possible. Therefore, inexpensive small value capacitors should be selected. Therefore, this type of motor has a lower starting torque and can only be used in machinery that starts under no-load or light load, such as electric fans, ventilation fans, recorders, etc.
4. There is currently no official model of dual value capacitor motor in China, but it is still being produced. The maximum motor power is around 750W or 1kW. There are even higher power options abroad. Due to the high power, the required capacitors are much more expensive. This type of motor has good starting and operating performance. Used for household appliances and small machine tools.
